DIY Floral Arrangements

Spring is the perfect time to refresh your space with fresh flower arrangements that feel and look elevated but are simple to DIY. Whether you are styling the flowers on a dinner table, or your bedside, even an easy arrangement can completely shift the mood of a space making it feel more thoughtful and put together.

Structure: Before arranging your flowers choose a vase and create a grid of tape across the opening of your vase to act as the base. This will help hold the stems in place and keep the flowers from falling outwards.

Step One: Choose Your Focal Flower

Start with a main focal flower that draws attention. Choose one flower to be the “centerpiece” that stands out. Some options include: Peonies, Hydrangea, Ranunculus, Dahlias.

Step Two: Add Greenery For Shape

Layer in greenery to fill space and make the arrangement feel more natural. This will create a full lush appearance. Some options include: Eucalyptus, Italian Ruscus, Amaranthus.

Step Three: Add Height For Dimension

Include a couple taller stems to keep the arrangement from looking flat and give it a dynamic feel. Some options include: Snapdragons, Lupine, Delphinium.

Step Four: Small Details

Fill in the gaps with colorful pops of smaller flowers. This will make the arrangement feel complete. Some options include: Mini daisies, Wax flowers, Baby's Breath.
